The Yarra Valley Old Legs Tour has come to an end and we need to give a huge shout-out to both the riders and the wonderful supporters who have followed them on their amazing feat of endurance.
Having met up en-route with the riders, namely, Mark Johnson, Alan Crundall, John McKenney and David Pichanick from Queensland, as well as Howard Thompson and Rob Clarke from New Zealand, we can state with absolute certainty that this was no small undertaking on their part. Supported by Mike Weeden in the back up vehicle, the route took them up and over mountains as well as the valley floor and tested them to the end of their endurance. Somehow they found the resolve and endurance to keep going and their ability to dig deep is testament to their commitment to and care for the elderly pensioners of Zimbabwe.
However, underpinning it all has been the amazing support they have received from the ZANE donors who have followed the ride through Mike’s amazing blogs and pictures and by giving so generously to the cause – for this we are immensely grateful – it is your kindness ultimately that enables ZANE to continue to care for the old folk of Zimbabwe so, to all of you we give a massive THANK YOU!
