ZANE Carers And Their Beneficiaries Have Special Relationships

Carers Special Relationships

When I read the reports from Zimbabwe, I am always blown away by the thing that emerges most prominently through their words, is the depth of the relationship between the wonderful ZANE carers and the people they care for.

It is staggering to know that every single beneficiary who receives help from ZANE is known personally by the carers and is visited, not only to drop off life-saving medicines, food, and money, but to spend time making sure that each person knows that they are loved.

Here are a few such cases as described by one of the ZANE carers:

Dot P

Sadly, I was unable to visit Dot P. As I was on my way to see her, she was rushed to the hospital and, unfortunately, died a few days later.

Dot was one of our widows and a dear lady whom I will miss greatly. She was always a pleasure to visit, and I would typically spend at least an hour with her each month, catching up on life.

Her passing is a significant loss.

Betty S

I caught up with Betty S., who was at her morning market stall, where she sells her homemade produce, including peanut butter, jams, and a variety of other items, to support herself.

She is a very dear lady who works extremely hard, and I am pleased to report that she is keeping well.
